Thanks to the acquisition of DanDomain, a market leader, 70 in-house experts are joining Combell with years of expertise in hosting and webshops. The acquisition fits with Combell’s vision to be a comprehensive one-stop shop for customers as it brings together expertise in e-commerce and hosting services.

Similar customer focus and growth trajectory
DanDomain has a similar growth trajectory to that of Combell. Market leader in hosting, domains and e-commerce
Hosting and domain names are the products where DanDomain pioneered on the Danish market in early 2000. Topped with their own e-commerce platform, they were the starting point on the internet for many entrepeneurs. Thanks to their products, entrepeneurs could start online with their own domain name, professional mailbox and space for a website. Today, that has remained unchanged.
By developping a lot of the products in-house, DanDomain has always been capable of rapidly adapting to evolving customer demands. That is something very familiar for Combell. Thanks to the acquisition of DanDomain, Combell is onboarding a lot of new expertise. Combining that with the knowledge of Combell gives us a lot of opportunities for the future.

The acquisition is part of larger growth ambitions
The acquisition fits into the strategy and ambitions of Intelligent, the holding above Combell, to grow in the medium term to one of the largest European hosting groups. The choice of Denmark makes sense, because it is a similar market to the Benelux and a good base for further growth in other Scandinavian countries.
Combell is putting together a strong management team in Denmark, to implement the plans for the future. Ronnie Bach Nielsen (co-founder and CEO of DanDomain) has become shareholder in the entire group and was appointed as Managing Director. He will lead the Intelligent SME branch through the expansion in Denmark. The DanDomain brand will be continued. The DanDomain team also continues to operate from its office in Randers, Denmark.
